When Streamlined isn’t Better

If OPIC and USTDA are going to be part of a conversation about better coordination and efficiency, they should be discussed alongside agencies with similar missions, including the U.S. Agency for International Development and the Millennium Challenge Corp.

Second, Congress should consider exactly how this merger will improve the international competitiveness of U.S. companies and the livelihoods of our partners in the developing world. USTDA promotes economic growth in developing and middle-income nations. For every dollar invested in the Trade and Development Agency, the return is $47 in increased exports, many by small and midsized businesses.
